Lucius L. Fowler Appointed Head of New Business DevelopmentNew York, March 2006
Fiduciary Trust Company International, a global investment management firm serving high net worth investors, today announced that it had appointed Lucius L. ("Luke") Fowler executive vice president for business development. Fowler replaces Murray Stoltz, who left the firm to pursue other opportunities. In addition, the firm announced the appointment of Thomas Shevlin as senior vice president of business development, reporting to Fowler.

Mr. Fowler, a member of Fiduciary Trust's Board of Directors since 1993, brings a wealth of experience to his new position. Most recently, he was president of Waitskill Investments LLC and Half Moon Investments LLC, wholly owned companies focused on investing in real estate and business joint venture opportunities. Previously he served for 12 years as chairman and CEO of Northcott Hospitality International LLC (NHI), which owns and operates the AmericInn lodging franchise and various restaurant operations nationwide. Prior to joining NHI, Fowler spent 12 years at J.P. Morgan & Co., working in a variety of assignments in the Trust and Investment, Financial Analysis and Banking departments. In his new role, Fowler will remain a director of Fiduciary Trust.
Mr. Fowler also serves on the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, part of the University of Minnesota, and the Indian Mountain School of Lakeville, Connecticut. He is a graduate of Tufts University.
Mr. Shevlin brings more than 30 years of experience and a nationwide clientele to his new position. Prior to joining Fiduciary Trust, he worked for Haven Capital Management for three years as an equity partner, serving private clients and overseeing portfolio management. Previously he was a senior vice president and a client relationship officer for U.S. Trust Company in New York. Prior to that, he served at J.P. Morgan & Co. for 20 years, where he held a number of positions, including vice president for private clients and business development relationship manager.
Mr. Shevlin received his B.S. in business administration from the University of Rhode Island in 1968. He has served on the board of regents for the Portsmouth Abbey School in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, is a member of the University of Rhode Island RAM Investment Fund Advisory Panel and the University of Rhode Island's President's Capital Campaign Advisory Board. He also served on the board of the San Francisco Zoological Society.
